When I was down South the base had inherited from its previous incarnations a large (and largely neglected) vinyl album collection and a collection of 16mm cine films.

Most of the films were Central Office of Information newsreels but there were a few more interesting ones, one of the most popular being Cattle Carters.

I got my photos from Peter’s wedding developed and I’ve scanned in some of them. On the same film were pictures from my holiday in France in April and a trip to Islay in June.

I’ve connected my new camera and downloaded a couple of pictures I took last night. It was the leaving do for my spanish teacher, Angels (on the right of the picture).

There’s also a six second video clip taken using the camera, of my housemate’s cat Kakapo.

I bought myself Sony DSC-P51 digital camera the other day. It arrived yesterday and I’ve had a quick play with it but haven’t yet got round to downloading the pictures.

One of the main reasons for going for the Sony was that I’m planning to eventually replace my Handspring Visor Deluxe with a Sony Clié. The Clié uses Memory Sticks so I thought I should probably standardise on a single type of memory card.

I finally managed to make BlogTree.com work for me, although the pedigree of my site is fairly dull just now.

OK, I know lots of these links aren’t new to people but they are to me and I’m the one who decides what goes in here.

I found this site today. It seems my Blogger code is “B1 d t+ k s u f i+ o x e l c”. I must admit a fondness for online survey things. Another example is that my Political Compass coordinates are (-6.38, -6.36). Which puts me somewhere close to Ken Livingstone, scary!

I spent the last weekend in Germany at the wedding of my friend Peter. He and I were pen-pals at school and have kept in touch ever since, so I was really pleased to get an invitation to his wedding.

Once I’ve had the pictures developed and scanned them in some of them should appear on this site, probably not before the end of the week though.
