News stories like this one seem to be pretty common these days. It’s usually just down to laziness and a lack of knowledge about security. Of course, behind it is the issue that the companies involved don’t care all that much about the security of your information.
Noticed this last week, why doesn’t the Government of South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands website have a .gs (South Georgia) address?
I wandered into CB1 on my way back from town and sat and relaxed while I waited for my coffee. Just as well I wasn’t in a hurry because it took 15 minutes.
Next to me were a couple obviously planning their wedding. It was all I could do to resist laughing out loud occasionally, it sounded like they spend most of their time as project managers or something.
When I first heard one of them saying “I’ll take an action on sorting out my outfit” I thought it might be a piss-take, although there were no signs of amusement. When they started discussing “milestones” it was all I could do to avoid spitting my coffee (it had finally arrived) across the room .

The results are a bit grim, I’m sure the Scottish one has mostly been produced by listening to Groundskeeper Willie on The Simpsons.
What I was meaning to look for was this.
