It&#8217;s a nice town by the side of a huge lake and is apparently popular with people wanting to escape the rain in Vancouver.<\/p>\n<p>I spent most of Friday wandering around town, starting with an early-morning walk along the lakeshore.<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/media\/Canada\/Kelowna\/ParkAcrossToWestside_w.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/media\/Canada\/Kelowna\/ParkAcrossToWestside_t.jpg\" title=\"View from City Park across Lake Okanagan\" alt=\"On the left a path stretches off, dotted with benches. I visited the Okanagan Heritage Museum and the BC Orchard Industry Museum and went on a tour of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.treebeer.com\/\">local brewery<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday Tammie and I went on a tour of a few of the local wineries: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.st-hubertus.bc.ca\/\">St. Hubertus<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cedarcreek.bc.ca\/\">Cedar Creek<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.summerhill.bc.ca\/\">Summerhill Pyramid<\/a> (that&#8217;s where the pictures were taken).
