In the USA things seem to be even worse, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newscientist.com\/news\/news.jsp?id=ns99993772\">this article<\/a> in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newscientist.com\/\">NewScientist<\/a> their system has been judged too poor for broadcast use.<\/p>\n<p>After a quick look on Google I turned up some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.radio.cbc.ca\/radio\/digital-radio\/labnov.html\">tests<\/a> carried out by Canada&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/cbc.ca\">CBC<\/a>, they don&#8217;t seem too keen on IBOC quality either.<\/p>\n<p>One thing that really puzzled me while driving around the States was the lack of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rds.org.uk\/rds98\/whatisrds.htm\">RDS<\/a>, which meant constantly having to manually retune and not getting station names displayed.
