You can find some of his work at <a href=\"http:\/\/artists.mp3s.com\/artists\/484\/the_alternative_engine.html\">MP3.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s recorded a track called &#8220;Kerguelen Islands&#8221;, inspired by that tiny dot on the map and wanted to use one of my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caboose.org.uk\/journeys\/KERalbum.html#imgker7-7\">pictures<\/a>, the email was asking for permission to use it.<\/p>\n<p>This has prompted me to go to <a href=\"http:\/\/creativecommons.org\">Creative Commons<\/a> and use one of their licenses for everything on this site.  I&#8217;m hoping it will make things clearer for people wanting to use anything.<\/p>\n<p>It also reminded me about <a href=\"http:\/\/metalclub.nu\/satanspenguins\/\">Satan&#8217;s Penguins<\/a>, the other users of my pictures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I got a very nice email today from Donn Patton, who describes himself as a home recording hobbyist.
